What is Nashville hot chicken?
Created by a scorned lover to emmit revenge, it’s fried chicken dusted with a heady mix of spices. We stay true to Nashville hot chicken with its addictive Southern spices, intense crunch and succulent meat – and your choice of heat level.
How hot are the different heat levels?
Our six heat levels are Southern, Mild, Medium, Medium Plus, Hot, Blame Drasko, and our infamous off-menu Bastard Chilli. Read Heat Levels 101 here. Plus a secret heat level: Medium Plus ++ (if you know, you know).
Is Drasko’s Halal?
Yes! We are certified Halal by the Western Australia Halal Authority (WAHA).
How do I order the off-menu Bastard Chilli?
First of all, do not make any important plans for a solid 24 – 48 hours after planning to brave this bad boy. Ask for “Bastard Chilli” or “Off-Menu” when you order dine-in or takeaway, and we’ll get you to sign a waiver. Pro-tip: put a roll of toilet paper in your freezer before eating this one.
Is, like, Drasko real?
Yes, he is! Read Drasko’s story and how Drasko’s Hot Chicken was born here.
Do you have gluten-free options?
Absolutely! Our Signature Sando comes in a gluten-free version with gluten-free fried chicken and a locally made buckwheat bun. All our sides (including the Umami Fries) are gluten-free, as are the sauces. We do not offer tenders, wings or the Nashville Quarter in gluten-free.
Do you have vegan options?
All our sauces and our sides are vegan (except the gravy that accompanies our mash).
Do you have soy and dairy on the menu?
Our chicken is soy and dairy-free, but our buns are made locally and contain butter and milk. The Gluten-Free Signature Sando contains no soy or dairy!
If you get any of the solo chicken pieces with no bun/bread then it is soy and dairy free. All our sides are GF & Vegan.
What is in the comeback sauce?
Comeback sauce is our love language. Homemade vegan mayo (with our very own aquafaba), American mustard, ketchup and a few other mystery bits that make this sauce do exactly as the name says.
I’m pregnant, what can I eat?
Let us know that you are pregnant and we’ll overcook your chicken slightly (a few degrees) just to be on the safe side. Our comeback sauce is made with a homemade vegan mayo and all our sides are vegan (except Mash and Gravy) and made in house, so you can eat them too!
What’s in the umami seasoning on the fries?
Our Umami Fries are named after a genius Japanese chap who discovered this moorish fifth flavour. Handmade in-house with a blend of kombu, mushroom and a few cheeky herbs (it’s kinda a secret).
Bangin’ tunes! Where can I find the music you play in the restaurant?
Music and chicken, the ultimate match- you can listen to our Drasko’s Hot Chicken and A Clucking Good Time playlists on Spotify.
Does Drasko’s have sustainable practices?
Our used canola oil is filtered and recycled to make animal feed! Our bottles and cans are recycled to make more cans and bottles.
